Lessons from a Social Franchising Accelerator

Social franchising, or “not-for-profit” franchising, is still a relatively new concept in South Africa. It basically uses the mechanisms of franchising to replicate social purpose organisations and solutions.

Over the last 18 months,Franchising Plus, together with the Bertha Centre for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship and our partners have been running the world’s first Social Franchising Accelerator. To share our learning outcomes, we will be hosting four workshops across South Africa in order to give social enterprises, funders and practitioners insights into what it takes to extend their outreach through social franchising. The workshops will be held during the last week of August and beginning of September in:
